I was a kicker at a division 1 school for two years and most people just don’t understand how hard it is. You do absolutely nothing the whole game and you are expected to come into a game where you have one chance to either make a play or not. It is easy for position players and fans to criticize when every other player has a chance for redemption constantly. It is easily the most stressful position in football from a mental perspective.
